In Armenia, 9.721 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced last year, 5.8% more than the previous year, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan said on Tuesday.

"An important observation is that the number of our solar power plants has increased significantly. Currently, about 1,100 megawatts of installed capacity are connected to the energy system, representing a 43% increase. Of these plants, 50,000 or more are small household systems, which together produce around 650 megawatts," Khudatyan stated at a press briefing.

According to him, compared to last year, the number of household solar power plants in 2025 increased by 60%, while their capacity grew by 52%.
