Infrastructure minister lauds unprecedented scale of state-subsidized community projects in 2025

David Khudatyan, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, has lauded the unprecedented scale of work carried out last year under state co-financed programs to improve infrastructure in Armenian communities.

"In 2025, a total of 61 billion AMD worth of work was carried out, an unprecedented scale. 33.2 billion AMD was co-financed from the state budget, which is also unprecedented," Khudatyan said at a press briefing.

He said that the ministry’s budget last year was 293 billion AMD, significantly higher than the 2024 figure, and the performance rate reached 92.3 percent.

Most of the work focused on the construction and reconstruction of roads, kindergartens, water supply systems, as well as other community infrastructure projects.

He said that in 2026, plans are in place to continue increasing the volume of state budget co-financing.
