The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Eduard Hakobyan has chaired the inaugural meeting of the SRC Digitalization Council.
At the opening of the meeting, Hakobyan congratulated the attendees on the establishment of the Council, emphasizing the important role such a format plays in the digitalization process—particularly in defining sectoral priorities, coordinating efforts, and ensuring more targeted and effective work throughout 2026.
“The need to hold a meeting of the Digitalization Council is necessitated by a review of the work carried out over the past year in the field of digitalization within the tax and customs systems. In line with the demands of the time, digitalization is currently of key importance, which requires consistent and focused attention to the sector,” the SRC press service quoted Hakobyan as saying.
During the meeting, current programs and ongoing projects were reviewed, with emphasis placed on the need to ensure their continuity. Digitalization specialists also presented projects under development, highlighting existing challenges, clarifying implementation timelines, and outlining the necessary steps to ensure the full implementation of the initiatives.
The meeting also addressed projects planned for future implementation and the main directions for the sector’s development.
It was decided that meetings of the SRC Digitalization Council in this format will be held on a quarterly basis.
