The first Armenia–Kuwait Business Forum was held at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was organized at the initiative of the Armenian Embassy in Kuwait.
The Armenian delegation was led by Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia. Kuwait was represented by Firas Al Ouda, Assistant Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The Assistant Director General reaffirmed KCCI’s readiness to support the strengthening of Armenia–Kuwait business ties, as well as the expansion of investment cooperation. Enterprise Armenia CEO Gohar Abajyan presented tools for promoting and supporting investments, the ministry of high-tech industry said in a press release.
The forum brought together representatives of the business communities of Armenia and Kuwait, serving as an effective platform for deepening bilateral cooperation and discussing investment opportunities of mutual interest. Particular attention during the discussions was given to Armenia’s technological ecosystem, as well as prospects for cooperation in the technology sector and the development of joint investment projects.
Within the framework of the Armenia–Kuwait Business Forum, a courtesy meeting was also held between the First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the leadership of Kuwait’s Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA). Kuwait’s independent regulator in the telecommunications and information technology sectors was represented by CITRA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Khaled Mohammad Abdullah Al-Zamel.
During the discussions, the parties presented their main areas of activity, outlined strategic priorities, and explored potential avenues for future cooperation in the fields of technological regulation, innovation, and digital development.
The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia serves as the Armenian co-chair of the Armenia–Kuwait Intergovernmental Joint Commission.
