The Armenian national futsal team opened its European Championship campaign with a victory, defeating Ukraine national futsal team 2–1 in the opening match of the group stage.
Mihran Dermenjyan scored Armenia's first goal at the European Futsal Championship. He also scored the team's second goal.
Armenia will play its next group-stage match on January 25 against the Czech Republic national futsal team.
