275,000 jobs have been created in Armenia since 2018, when the Pashinyan administration came to power during what became known as the Velvet Revolution, a cabinet minister said on Thursday.

“Some political forces that consider themselves new, although they are entirely old, promise to create 300,000 jobs,” Arsen Torosyan, minister of labor and social affairs, said on social media, referring to a recent announcement by Narek Karapetyan, a senior member of the Mer Dzevov movement seeking to run for parliament.

“We have already done that and will continue to do so. In December 2025, we again recorded a record number of jobs at 823,000. In May 2018, we had 548,000 jobs. Therefore, since the revolution to the present day, 275,000 jobs have been created,” Torosyan said.

Karapetyan has said that if they win the elections and forms a government, they will create 300,000 new jobs.
