President Khachaturyan, Finnish President discuss bilateral ties in Davos

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic thanked his Finnish counterpart for the consistent support provided to Armenia and the peace process in the region over the years.
The parties discussed issues related to regional realities and current developments, emphasizing the importance of approaches aimed at strengthening stability, peace, and cooperation. The sides discussed the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, as well as the TRIPP project, emphasizing that such programs aimed at developing regional communications contribute to increased connectivity and are in the interests of both the region and the wider international community.
The parties emphasized the importance of developing bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation within the European Union. In this context, the importance of cooperation with Finland was also emphasized within the framework of Armenia’s interaction with the NB8 (Nordic-Baltic Eight), considering it an effective platform for expanding political dialogue and sectoral cooperation.
President Khachaturyan highly appreciated Finland’s successful experience in a number of areas, particularly in the field of general education, emphasizing the opportunities for studying and applying that experience in Armenia. The parties emphasized Armenia’s commitment to democratic values and ideas, as well as the ongoing reforms and efforts being made in that direction.
