The Armenian authorities will launch the new unified 112 emergency telephone number. In a press release, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said the new number—unifying Police and Rescue Service calls—will ensure a swifter and more coordinated emergency response.
The number will be activated on February 15.
“By calling the 112 emergency number, citizens will be able to contact the services under the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a single call. This will make the provision of assistance faster and more efficient, as it will enable the simultaneous response of police officers and rescue services, reduce response time, and contribute to enhancing public safety,” the ministry said.
