Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs, US Ambassador discuss TRIPP project

Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan on Tuesday received the outgoing US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Kristina Kvien, who is completing her diplomatic mission in the country.
According to a press release by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan highly appreciated Ambassador Kvien's consistent efforts to develop Armenia–US relations, describing her contribution as undeniable. The minister emphasized that bilateral relations were elevated to a strategic level during the Ambassador’s tenure.
Highlighting the effective cooperation established between the two sides, Minister Sargsyan noted that in recent years a number of important programs within the Ministry of Internal Affairs' reform agenda have been implemented through joint efforts.
Ambassador Kvien thanked for the effective and constructive cooperation. She highly appreciated the jointly implemented programs, as well as the active cooperation in solving and revealing a number of crimes.
The parties exchanged views on the implementation of the TRIPP project, upcoming programs planned with the ministry, and other issues of mutual interest.
Concluding the meeting, Minister Sargsyan wished Ambassador Kvien further success, assuring her that she will always remain a friend of Armenia.
