The Azerbaijani military forces currently deployed on parts of sovereign Armenian territory shall be withdrawn as a result of the border delimitation and demarcation process, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan has said.
“This is the Government’s position, and it is the solution that will ensure long-term peace in our region,” Papikyan said at a press conference.
Armenia and Azerbaijan completed one section of the border delimitation in 2024 in the northeastern Tavush province.
