Armenia's Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, accompanied by Vayots Dzor Governor Vahagn Arsenyan, National Assembly member and Chair of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan, military unit commander Colonel Gagik Poghosyan and senior military officials, visited army positions at high-altitude positions on the eve of the New Year, Papikyan said in a Facebook post.
“I toured the army positions, met with the soldiers and commanders on duty, and familiarized myself with the work carried out and the organization of service,” the minister said.
Papikyan said he congratulated the military personnel on the New Year and Christmas holidays and presented valuable gifts to a group of servicemen who distinguished themselves during their service, wishing them safe and successful duty.
