Iran, UAE FMs discuss regional developments over phone

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held a phone call with his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussing bilateral relations and regional developments including Yemen, IRNA reported.

Araghchi and Al Nahyan expressed satisfaction with the growing relations between the two countries and emphasized pursuing issues of mutual interest.

According to IRNA, referring to the ongoing developments in southern Yemen, the top Iranian diplomat called on all regional countries to make efforts in maintaining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen and fulfilling the legitimate demands of the Yemeni people.

The two diplomats stressed the need for regional countries to step up efforts to consolidate stability in Yemen and safeguard peace in the region.
