Armenian Ambassador, U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman discuss strategic cooperation

Armenian Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan met with House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast. 

A wide range of issues related to Armenia–U.S. strategic cooperation was discussed, the embassy said in a press release. 

The meeting also addressed the implementation of the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, the emerging regional realities resulting from those agreements, and the advancement of future cooperation initiatives.

On August 8, 2025, Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a joint peace declaration and initialed a peace treaty at a U.S.-brokered summit in Washington. On the same day, Armenia and the United States signed three memoranda of understanding on partnership.
