Armenian Minister of Environment, Hambardzum Matevosyan, congratulated the Armenpress news agency on the 107th anniversary of its foundation.
“Dear partner, congratulations on the 107th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenpress news agency,” the minister said in a congratulatory statement addressed to the agency. “Since 1918, for more than a century, Armenpress has confidently fulfilled its important mission, providing fact-based, responsible information that serves the public interest, while preserving historical memory and institutional continuity. The agency’s multilingual work, rich archival and visual resources, as well as expanding partnerships, play a crucial role in presenting a reliable and multifaceted story about Armenia. I express my gratitude to the staff of Armenpress for their steadfast work. I wish you new achievements, continuous development, and steady progress," he added.
Armenpress state news agency was founded on December 18, 1918. At the time, it was known as the Armenian Telegraph Agency. It was rebranded as Armenpress in 1972.
