Armenia, Germany sign memorandum of cooperation in civil aviation security

The Aviation Accident and Serious Incident Investigation Division of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) of the Federal Republic of Germany have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents.
According to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, the goal of the cooperation is to enhance the level of civil aviation safety and prevent aviation accidents.
Under the memorandum, the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation of Germany, if necessary and within its capabilities, will provide support and assistance to Armenia in the use of equipment required for aviation investigations, the decoding and analysis of flight data and onboard recordings, access to technical laboratory services, as well as professional assistance in areas related to airworthiness, air navigation services, and aerodromes.
