Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Ruben Simonyan received representatives of the World Bank mission working on the development of a new growth and employment policy for Armenia, the ministry said in a readout.
The Deputy Minister highlighted the programs and initiatives implemented by the World Bank that contribute to Armenia’s economic development and progress.
Léa Hakim, Senior Country Economist for Armenia at the World Bank, noted that the mission aims to define, through discussions with relevant state institutions, the framework of reforms required for the launch of the new program, as well as to present the expected outcomes and the main stages of its implementation.
During the meeting, details of the new World Bank program were presented. WB Digital Development Specialist Himmat Singh Sandhu also shared his observations through online participation.
A wide range of issues related to the development of the planned program for Armenia were discussed.
