Armenian minister of sport visits Polish Olympic Committee

Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan and members of her delegation visiting Poland, met with Secretary General of the Polish Olympic Committee Marek Pałus.
The members of the Armenian delegation toured the Committee's Sports Museum presenting the history of Polish sports, its achievements, and recorded results.
Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the importance of expanding and deepening cooperation between Armenia and Poland in the field of sports, the ministry said in a press release.
The parties discussed several issues related to sports funding and management systems, increasing the role of national federations, accountability, and strengthening ties with international sports organizations.
The Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports noted that Armenia is taking consistent steps to strengthen its position on the global sports map. In this context, Zhanna Andreasyan presented the major international competitions scheduled to take place in Armenia in the coming years, stressing that the participation of athletes from Poland is also encouraged.
Specifically, they discussed the 2026 ESC European Championship to be held in Yerevan, the 2027 European Gymnastics Championship, the World Weightlifting Championship, the 10th Anniversary Francophonie Games, and several other events.
During the meeting, the possibility of organizing joint training camps and sports sessions in various sports was also discussed. The parties emphasized initiatives aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle and developing mass sports, presenting mutual experiences in this area.
