U.S. President Donald Trump has thanked Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for advancing his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize following the Washington summit, which resulted in Armenia and Azerbaijan initialing a peace treaty.
Below is the letter published by the Prime Minister’s Office.
“Dear Mr. Prime Minister, thank you for your and President Aliyev’s joint letter advancing my nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. I am deeply appreciative of your kind recognition, which inspires us to sustain our important mission. As President of the United States, I remain committed to ending conflicts across the globe and to securing peace and prosperity for all people. With your ongoing partnership, we will achieve the impossible. Thank you, again, for your continued support,” Trump said.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev both endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after he helped broker a peace deal between their countries earlier in 2025.
