Doha Forum 2025: Armenian, Azerbaijani top officials to meet for panel discussion Saturday

Within the framework of the "Doha Forum 2025," a panel discussion will be held on December 6 with the participation of Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, and Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev.

The discussion will be dedicated to lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Washington Agreement, and the steps arising from it.

According to the official website of the Doha Forum 2025, the moderator of the panel discussion, which will be held from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM Yerevan time, will be David Hearst, co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Middle East Eye media website.

According to the source, during the panel discussion titled “Armenia–Azerbaijan Lasting Peace: The Washington Agreement and a Shared Future,” the parties will openly discuss the content of the Washington Agreement, the joint efforts that led to its formation, as well as the next steps of the peace process. The discussion will also address the possibilities of the agreement in contributing to regional stability, reconciliation and new economic and cooperative opportunities.

Earlier, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, announced on his Facebook page that he would be leaving for Doha on a working visit on December 5 to participate in a joint panel discussion with Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev.
