Armenia is interested in developing its relations with China and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday.
Asked about opportunities to develop these ties and the possibility of SCO membership, Pashinyan described China as a “reliable partner” for Armenia.
"China is among our most reliable and important partners in all areas. We are interested in developing our relations with China and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” Pashinyan said.
Earlier this year, Armenia applied for membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Armenia and China established a strategic partnership during PM Pashinyan’s meeting with President Xi Jinping in Tianjin.
