TRIPP progressing on schedule, says PM

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday that work on developing the TRIPP project in Armenia is proceeding at a "good pace".

Speaking at a press briefing, Pashinyan added that active efforts are underway to clarify the strategic framework of the project.

“We are working on the documents, and I can say—by my estimation—we are moving forward at a good pace. Within the timeframe we have set, we will already see the implementation of the TRIPP project. Initially, this will involve the development and adoption of legal and conceptual documents; the next phase will be contracts, followed by practical implementation on the ground,” the Prime Minister said.

Earlier in November, Pashinyan said that construction of TRIPP is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.

The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) is a connectivity project in Armenia, envisaged under the U.S.-brokered Armenian-Azerbaijani joint declaration signed in Washington, D.C. The project is expected to unlock strategic economic opportunities, create long-term benefits by promoting infrastructure investment, and enhance regional connectivity. TRIPP is part of the Crossroads of Peace project, and an Armenian-American joint enterprise is expected to develop the route.
