Government studying prospects for opening airports in several cities- PM

During the Q&A session with Cabinet members in Parliament, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the development of small aviation is among the programs of the Armenian government.
Responding to a question from lawmaker Davit Danielyan about the possibility of opening airports in Goris and Sisian, the Prime Minister said:
“The development of small aviation is included in our programs. We are studying what opportunities there may be in Shinuhayr, Sisian, Stepanavan, Gavar and Berd. We will definitely work in that direction. We are also trying to attract private investors,” Pashinyan noted.
Regarding the issue related to Kapan Airport, the Prime Minister said the aircraft is undergoing another technical inspection. “There are no problems; the issue is technical,” he added.
