The state budget deficit in 2025 will not exceed 5 percent, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said in parliament on Wednesday.
“Our latest analysis of the 2025 budget execution indicates that, by the end of the year, instead of the planned 5.5 percent deficit, we will have a deficit not exceeding 5 percent. As a result, the state debt will remain below the 50 percent of GDP threshold,” Hovhannisyan said.
The minister added that this indicator allows the country to enter 2026 with a stable economy and a manageable and sustainable level of debt.
