First Armenia–EU summit to be held in Yerevan in 2026

The first Armenia–European Union summit will be held in Yerevan on May 5, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Armenpress. The event will take place the day after the EPC summit. 

High-ranking officials of the European Union, including António Costa, President of the European Council, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, will arrive in Armenia to participate in the summit.

At a press conference in Brussels on December 2, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan expressed hope to see EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Yerevan as part of the summit.

The 8th Summit of the European Political Community will be held in Armenia on May 4, 2026. Established in 2022, the EPC brings together leaders of European countries to discuss issues of strategic importance, including security, energy, migration, infrastructure, democracy and the rule of law.
