Armenia and EU continue visa liberalization process

Armenia and the European Union continue working toward visa liberalization, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said on Tuesday.

“Why is this important? Because many Armenians live in EU countries, and we want to encourage Armenian citizens to be able to travel more smoothly to EU countries to visit their families and relatives,” Kos said at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas in Brussels.

Earlier in November, Johannes Luchner, the Deputy Director-General at the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission, handed over the EU-Armenia Visa Liberalization Action Plan to Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan.
