The EU supports Armenia in normalizing its ties with Azerbaijan, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said at a joint press conference with Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Brussels.

“2025 has been an important year for Armenia-EU relations, and it has also been significant for Armenia. The agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which were achieved in August, are very important; they mark the end of a long-standing conflict, and you have the EU’s support in this matter,” Kallas said.

Armenia and the EU adopted a new strategic partnership agenda in Brussels on December 2.

The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas during the 6th Armenia-EU Partnership Council meeting in Brussels.
