Secretary General of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Davit Karapetyan, held a meeting with Uldis Mikuts, Director of the Bilateral Political Department of Latvia’s Foreign Ministry, and Edite Medne, Latvia’s Ambassador to Armenia.
According to the foreign ministry's press release, the officials discussed issues related to bilateral relations and exchanged views on opportunities to deepen cooperation in cybersecurity, food safety, good governance, digitalization, and other areas, as well as on combating hybrid threats and disinformation.
David Karapetyan emphasized the importance of the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project and its key component, the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) in unlocking regional communications and the new economic opportunities that their implementation will provide.
The discussion also touched on the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue and the process of normalizing Armenia-Türkiye relations.
