Armenian Speaker of Parliament meets with President of the Hellenic Republic

On December 1, the delegation led by the Armenian National Assembly President, being on an official visit to Greece, met with the President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas. Expressing gratitude to Constantine Tassoulas for the warm welcome,  Simonyan emphasized the importance of such meetings from the perspective of developing bilateral ties, the press service of the National Assembly said in a readout.

The President of the Hellenic Republic, in turn, thanked Speaker Simonyan for the official visit, noting that Armenia is one of the important partners of Greece.

The interlocutors discussed issues regarding the activation of bilateral ties, the Armenian-EU relations, as well as the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia.

Reference was also made to regional developments and the peace process established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
