EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, reaffirmed the EU’s support for the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process following a two-day visit to Armenia.
In a statement on X, EUSR Grono described the talks in Yerevan as “intense and substantive.”
“Just concluded two days of intense and substantive high-level consultations in Yerevan on 18-19 November. Grateful to Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and other officials for in-depth exchanges on the Armenia - Azerbaijan peace process, Armenia -Türkiye normalisation, regional cooperation, connectivity and humanitarian issues. Was also pleased to engage in interesting discussions with civil society representatives. The EU stands together with its Armenian and Azerbaijani partners on their way to full-fledged peace and regional successes,” the EU Special Representative said.
