Two podcasters under criminal investigation - Updated

Law enforcement agencies have conducted “urgent investigative measures” in the apartments of Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan, two podcasters who host the “Imnemnimi” podcast, the Investigative Committee announced on Thursday.

It did not provide any further details.

Saghatelyan said on Facebook that “masked men” entered his home on Thursday morning.

Lawyer Ruben Melikyan later said on social media that masked officers had also raided Samsonyan’s home.

A video posted online shows masked law enforcement officers taking Samsonyan into custody.

Authorities have not yet commented on the arrest.

Melikyan said that a criminal case has been instituted under the article on hooliganism.
