Deputy Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Congo discuss expanding bilateral cooperation

On November 7, in Belém, Brazil, on the sidelines of the Leaders’ Summit convened in the lead-up to the 30th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Noëlla Ayeganagato Nakwipone, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Armenian Foreign Ministry has said in a readout.

The interlocutors exchanged views on prospects of enhancing cooperation between Armenia and DRC within multilateral fora and international organizations.

The Deputy Foreign Minister touched upon the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity to be hosted by Armenia in 2026 and briefed his counterpart on the vision of Armenia aimed at ensuring a more inclusive COP17. The importance of engaging all relevant stakeholders in addressing biodiversity challenges was emphasized.

Both sides underscored willingness to advance bilateral agenda, including sectoral cooperation.
