Vardapetyan meets with Prosecutor-General of Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation

During her visit to Italy, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor-General of Armenia, met with Pietro Gaeta, Prosecutor-General of Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation.
 
 Anna Vardapetyan expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that the meeting is a valuable opportunity to highlight the joint work carried out so far and to expand the framework of international legal cooperation in criminal proceedings.

“I would like to thank you for the documents and procedural actions provided within the framework of our request for legal assistance. They have been of crucial importance in sending a number of criminal cases to court with an indictment. I assure you that the requests for legal assistance submitted by the Italian side are being carried out with the same diligence and responsibility,” Vardapetyan said, according to a readout published by her office.

Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy Vladimir Karapetyan, the Deputy Prosecutor-General/Military Prosecutor of Armenia Grigor Elizbaryan and Deputy Prosecutor-General Yeghiazar Avagyan also participated in the meeting.

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed between the Armenian Military Prosecutor’s Office and the Italian General Military Prosecutor’s Office.
