EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, has expressed the EU’s readiness to support the outcomes of the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace summit held in Washington, D.C., on August 8.
Grono made the remarks during a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, in Baku, according to the Azerbaijani state news agency, Azertac.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process, as well as regional and global issues, according to Azertac.
Bayramov briefed the EU Special Representative on the progress of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, future prospects, and Azerbaijan’s position on the matter, according to the Azertac news agency.
Special Representative Grono reiterated the EU’s readiness to support the outcomes achieved during the Washington summit, according to the report.
