Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed hope that the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will accept the invitation to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, which will be held in Yerevan next year.
“In recent years, I have met frequently with President Erdoğan. I have visited Turkey twice, including my first official working visit, which I consider very successful. During the meeting, I invited President Erdoğan to participate in the summit in Yerevan in May 2026. I hope this invitation will be accepted,” Pashinyan said at the Orbeli Forum 2025.
According to Pashinyan, relations between Armenia and Türkiye are on the right track, and the normalization of relations between the two countries is only a matter of time.
Invitees to the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan next year include Erdoğan and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, among other world leaders.
