Next year’s budget envisions 5 billion AMD less for economy ministry

The 2026 state budget envisions 74,5 billion drams allocation to the ministry of economy, which is 5 billion drams less compared to the previous year’s allocation, finance minister Vahe Hovhannisyan has said.

He made the comments at a joint parliamentary committee hearing on the government’s 2026 budget bill.

"There are numerous actions, with some places seeing additions and others experiencing reductions, depending on the demand of various programs and the commitments made," said Hovhannisyan.

The 2026 state budget envisions total expenditures of 3 trillion 628 billion drams.
