U.S. Vice President thanks Armenian, Greek, Catholic priests caring for Church of the Holy Sepulchre

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has expressed gratitude to the Armenian, Greek and Catholic priests for caring for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

JD Vance and U.S. Second Lady Usha Vance visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Thursday during their visit to Israel.

“What an amazing blessing to have visited the site of Christ's death and resurrection. I am immensely grateful to the Greek, Armenian, and Catholic priests who care for this most sacred of places. May the Prince of Peace have mercy on us, and bless our efforts for peace,” the U.S. Vice President said on X.

Vance arrived in Israel on Tuesday, joining Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, to help calm tensions after violence flared in Gaza over the weekend. Vice President JD Vance and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Wednesday morning in Jerusalem, The Washington Post reported.
