Gyumri chief architect, another person detained

The chief architect of the Gyumri community and another individual have been detained, the Investigative Committee of Armenia said.
According to the Committee, two more persons, including the Mayor of Gyumri, have been detained within the framework of the criminal case launched on charges of bribery and abuse of power.
Within the same case initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan has been remanded in pre-trial detention for two months. Seven other individuals have been arrested, one of whom has been placed under house arrest.
The criminal proceedings have been initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee under articles relating to the demand and receipt of bribes.
