Economy Minister, Kazakh Ambassador discuss economic cooperation

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan on Monday received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev, the Ministry of Economy said.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic sphere, increasing trade turnover, diversifying exports and imports and developing new logistics routes.

They also touched upon opportunities for cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and ensuring food security.

Minister Papoyan emphasized the importance of investments in various sectors of the Armenian economy, as well as the activities of companies with Kazakh capital.

The sides exchanged views on the 2024-2025 roadmap for trade and economic cooperation.

Minister Papoyan expressed the Armenian government’s readiness to continue collaboration, fully supporting the implementation of joint programs and the promotion of new initiatives.
