Reports about Pashinyan's alleged statement on handing over part of Syunik to Azerbaijan are false - Spokesperson

In recent days, false information has been circulated in several international and local media outlets, as well as on social networks, claiming that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan allegedly announced the transfer of part of the Syunik region to Azerbaijan and the creation of a special border zone for Turkey.

Prime Minister Pashinyan's spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, described such publications as disinformation with no factual or legal basis in a post on Facebook.

She noted that this is part of the hybrid war being waged against the Republic of Armenia.

Baghdasaryan urged citizens, media outlets and analytical platforms to refrain from spreading such false information, to verify the reliability of sources and to rely exclusively on official statements.
