Resilient Syunik: Team Europe: Projects worth €200 million currently underway

More than 80 projects are currently underway in Syunik Province within the framework of the Resilient Syunik: Team Europe initiative, Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan told reporters on Friday.

“The main goal of the ‘Resilient Syunik: Team Europe’ initiative is to implement targeted programs in Syunik Province across key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, social services, small and medium-sized enterprises, and small-scale infrastructure projects. Currently, more than 80 projects are underway. These are coordinated, jointly discussed, and targeted programs aimed at strengthening the resilience of Syunik,” the Governor said.

He added that the projects under the Resilient Syunik: Team Europe initiative have already reached a total value of 200 million euros.

“We must work to maintain the quality of these programs, and I believe that in the very near future, we will achieve high standards and strong results,” Governor Ghukasyan said.

Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Vassilis Maragos earlier said that the ongoing investments by the European Union in Armenia, implemented through various programs, are ultimately expected to reach 2.5 billion euros.
