Enterprise Armenia CEO Gohar Abajyan said on Friday that the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan marks the beginning of a new economic phase for Armenia — one characterized by improved infrastructure and deeper regional integration.
Speaking at the 2025 International Trade and Investment Forum in Yerevan, Abajyan said that the global trade and investment landscape is changing rapidly, and the most successful investments today are those that combine technology, services, and manufacturing.
“In this new environment, investors are looking at three key factors: predictability, strong connectivity, and, of course, performance. Armenia is ready to offer all three.
First, predictability — our investment policy creates a transparent, rules-based environment that ensures a level playing field for all investors. We are digitizing our public and investment services, aiming to make them more efficient — from idea to execution and final delivery.
Of course, like in many governments, there are performance-related challenges, but our government is fully committed and provides its full support. The government stands by every business and keeps its word,” Gohar Abajyan said.
Highlighting connectivity, the Enterprise Armenia CEO said that geography is an advantage in this regard.
“For Armenia, peace and stability are not just abstract concepts — they are economic assets we have earned. Through Armenia’s ‘Crossroads of Peace’ initiative and the TRIPP project [Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity], the country aims to strengthen its multimodal connectivity with the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, and the Persian Gulf.
With the peace agreement signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the country is entering a new economic phase — marked by improved infrastructure and deeper regional integration,” said Gohar Abajyan, noting that for businesses and investors, this translates into diversified logistics, shorter transit times, and access to multiple regional markets from a single investment base.
Speaking about performance, she added, “Investors value trust — the confidence that promised commitments will be fulfilled. 'Enterprise Armenia' stands by all investors. We are closely connected with the public sector and strive to make everything fast and predictable, from permits to financing opportunities.
What I believe truly sets Armenia apart today is not just its technology, but the diverse range of opportunities. Global companies can find here a compact and highly capable base for expertise, production, and prototyping,” she said, adding that Armenia’s deep pool of engineering talent, skilled and high-quality workforce, and creative potential make it possible to realize all the necessary investment opportunities.
Enterprise Armenia’s stated mission is “to foster a supportive environment for both foreign and domestic investors, positioning Armenia as a highly desirable investment destination on the global stage.”
