Prime Minister Pashinyan meets with ALAN CEO and Flagship Pioneering founder

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Jean-Charles Samuelian, co-founder and CEO of ALAN, a digital healthcare system, and Noubar Afeyan, founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering.

According to a readout from the Prime Minister’s Office, Pashinyan welcomed their visit to Armenia and noted that the Government is gradually moving toward the introduction of a health insurance system.

Highlighting the importance of comprehensive reforms in the healthcare sector, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the introduction of an insurance system will play a key role for both the sector and the public.

Jean-Charles Samuelian presented the activities, opportunities, and advantages of the Alan digital healthcare system, aimed at digitizing the sector and improving the accessibility and quality of healthcare services.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of fully digitizing the healthcare system and enhancing the efficiency of services.

In this context, the interlocutors discussed prospects for further cooperation.

The Prime Minister proposed continuing the dialogue with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia to identify specific areas of collaboration.
