The government of Armenia continues making efforts towards the integration of the forcibly displaced population of Nagorno-Karabakh, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said on Tuesday.
“We are making the utmost efforts to ensure that our displaced compatriots can fully integrate and restart or continue their lives in the Republic of Armenia,” Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finland’s FM Elina Valtonen.
The entire population of Nagorno-Karabakh – nearly 120,000 Armenians – fled to Armenia in 2023 during the Azerbaijani attack. The government of Armenia designated them as forcibly displaced persons and initiated various support programs.
