Belgium supports stability and peace in the South Caucasus, the Ambassador of Belgium to Armenia, Eric De Muynck, said at a press conference. He was referring to the process toward unblocking regional connectivity.
“The progress achieved in Washington in August is important,” the ambassador said, referring to the U.S.-brokered Armenian-Azerbaijani accords. “We believe that the signing of that agreement provides an opportunity to shape a new, more positive discourse.
Connectivity in the region is highly important. We believe that it will create significant development potential both for Armenia and for the region as a whole, offering opportunities for economic diversification. So, the processes are positive, and we hope they will also yield positive results.”
