Armenian Prime Minister, EU Commissioner for Enlargement discuss partnership

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos on the sidelines of the Global Gateway Forum 2025 in Brussels.
PM Pashinyan and Commissioner Kos discussed “matters concerning the Armenia-EU new partnership agenda and the implementation of the ambitious strategic actions outlined by it,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release.
They discussed upcoming steps and prospects for deepening cooperation, emphasizing that Armenia–EU relations have acquired a new quality and depth in recent years.
PM Nikol Pashinyan highly valued the EU’s consistent support for the effective implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia and emphasized the Armenian government's commitment to introducing EU standards across all sectors.
In turn, Commissioner Marta Kos stressed the EU’s readiness to continue taking steps to deepen and expand its ties with Armenia in various directions.
Pashinyan and Kos expressed satisfaction with the effective dialogue on visa liberalization and noted that significant progress has been made in this area.
They also exchanged views on the opportunities created in the region as a result of the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as on the implementation of the TRIPP project and the Crossroads of Peace initiative in Armenia.
