Rubio, UK Foreign Secretary discuss Gaza, Ukraine

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone with U.K. Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, the State Department said in a press release.

Rubio and Cooper “emphasized the importance of ending the war in Gaza by implementing President Trump’s 20-point plan for peace, securing the release of all hostages, and ensuring that Hamas has no role in Palestinian governance,” the State Department said.

They also discussed the Russia-Ukraine war.

“The Secretary and Foreign Secretary agreed to continue diplomatic efforts to bring the Russia-Ukraine war to an end through a negotiated settlement and durable peace,” the State Department said.
