President Khachaturyan, Ambassador Ayazov commend high level of Armenia-Turkmenistan relations

Armenia's President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Armenia, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, on the occasion of Turkmenistan's national holiday, Independence Day.
President Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion and conveyed his best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, wishing Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people peace, development and prosperity, the Presidential Office said.
On the occasion of completing his diplomatic mission in the Republic of Armenia, the President thanked the Ambassador for his effective work and efforts aimed at strengthening Armenia–Turkmenistan relations, praised his contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries, and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The parties also discussed issues on the bilateral agenda and opportunities for expanding economic cooperation. The President noted that with the implementation of the “Crossroads of Peace” program, the Armenia-Turkmenistan partnership could create new opportunities not only in the economic but also in the social and cultural spheres, contributing to the further deepening of bilateral ties.
Both sides highly appreciated the stable and high level of political relations and mutual visits between Armenia and Turkmenistan.
