Armenian PM congratulates Cyprus on Independence Day

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, on Independence Day.
“On behalf of the people of Armenia and myself, I extend my warmest congratulations to you and the brotherly people of Cyprus on the 65th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Cyprus,” Pashinyan said in the letter published by his office. “This day symbolizes not only the country’s path to sovereignty and democracy, but is also an occasion to appreciate the determination of the Cypriot people to defend their freedom, dignity and principles.
Our countries and peoples are united by centuries-old friendship, mutual trust and common values. The establishment of resident embassies in Yerevan and Nicosia marks a new and promising stage in bilateral relations, reaffirming our commitment to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
On this significant day, I wish you health and success, and to the Republic of Cyprus continued development and a successful upcoming presidency of the Council of the EU, and to the brotherly people of Cyprus – peace, unity and prosperity."
