RISE 2025: Armenian, Serbian ministers highlight women’s involvement in decision-making

Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan met with Serbian Minister in charge of gender equality, prevention of violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women, Tatjana Matsura.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the RISE 2025 conference in Belgrade.

“During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of women's involvement in decision-making processes, the creation of equal employment opportunities, the improvement of social protection mechanisms, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of women's rights protection,” the Armenian ministry said in a readout.

Minister Torosyan also participated in a panel discussed during RISE 2025 titled "Women's Economic Empowerment" and delivered a speech highlighting the importance of promoting women's economic and political independence, presenting the steps taken by the Government of the Republic of Armenia in this direction.

Torosyan had a brief meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut.
