Ready to support implementation of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement: French minister

The initialing of the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace agreement is a testament to the courage of the Armenian government that's been into a very difficult situation over the last few years and has continued to engage courageously in diplomacy and looking for peace,  Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for Europe Affairs of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France said at a high-level discussion titled "From Lisbon to Yerevan: Envisioning Europe’s Strategy for the Wider Neighborhood".

In his speech, Haddad also emphasized the Armenian government's ongoing reforms, its support for democracy, and its efforts in the fight against corruption.

“The Pashinyan government really is to be praised on this. And we speak to the Armenian government on a regular basis, President Macron with Prime Minister Pashinyan, and we will be there to support the implementation of this Peace Agreement,” he said.
